Hokim of Surkhandarya Region Holds Talks with Saint Petersburg Delegation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kosimov met with a delegation from Saint Petersburg led by Evgeny Kassyura, Deputy Chair of the Committee on External Relations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key issues regarding the development of cooperation in labor migration, particularly the creation of effective mechanisms to protect the rights and legal interests of Uzbek citizens working in Russia, as well as ensuring their employment under legal and safe conditions.

At the conclusion of the talks, both parties expressed readiness to further strengthen partnership and implement joint initiatives aimed at developing regulated labor migration and expanding bilateral cooperation.

Friendly and cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and Russia continue to steadily grow, with particular attention given to the development of interregional contacts covering external relations, economic, and social policy spheres.
