Highly Disciplined Entrepreneurs Received 4.9 Trillion Soums in VAT Refunds In Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of February 2026, the performance of 572,800 business entities in Uzbekistan has been successfully evaluated under the Entrepreneurial Resilience Rating system, introduced by presidential decree.
Financial incentives for the most disciplined entrepreneurs have proven substantial: 2,079 companies in the AAA category, with the highest level of trust, automatically received VAT refunds totaling 4.9 trillion soums in a single day without additional inspections, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan reported.
The rating system has significantly improved tax compliance and business transparency. The number of entrepreneurs submitting reports on time reached 452,500, an increase of 219,600 compared to the previous period. Timely tax payments were made by 261,200 enterprises (up by 181,300), and the issuance of electronic invoices within the established deadlines reached 23.9 million, growing by 20.8 million units.
The Entrepreneurial Resilience Rating has also become an important tool for promoting social responsibility and employment. In 171,800 companies, the workforce increased by 1.1 million employees, bringing the total number of officially employed individuals to over 5.4 million.
