High-tech artificial limbs and medicines from Moscow manufacturers to be exported to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Moscow companies will supply high-tech artificial limbs and medicines to Uzbekistan. Such agreements were reached at the 24th Tashkent International Medical Exhibition "Health-TIHE 2019".
Some 16 companies were represented at the collective stand under the single brand “Made in Moscow”, organized by the Moscow Export Center, subordinated to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow.
During the exhibition, negotiations were held with representatives of the largest state scientific and practical medical centers of Uzbekistan in the field of surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, oncology and radiology. For example, the Moscow company Motorika, which creates functional prostheses for everyday life and digital rehabilitation platforms, has signed an agreement with VETERAN, the Association of veteran soldiers and disabled people of Uzbekistan. The parties agreed on the introduction of new prosthetic technologies for members of the association and other potential consumers in Uzbekistan.
Another company Bios as a master class successfully conducted an operation on its own equipment in one of the clinical centers of Tashkent. At a meeting of Moscow businessmen with representatives of ASKLEPIY, the largest medical holding in the country, agreements were reached on the supply of medicines to Uzbekistan.
“The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs wishing to promote their products abroad. So, at the exhibition in Uzbekistan, businessmen held more than 300 business meetings, - said the head of the department, Alexey Fursin, - Total non-oil non-energy exports from Moscow to Uzbekistan in 2018 increased by more than 40% compared to 2017 and amounted to US$291.9 million United States. Of these, the share of exports of medical and pharmaceutical products in non-primary non-energy exports from Moscow to Uzbekistan was 13.9%. We expect that participation in the Healthcare-TIHE 2019 exhibition will allow Moscow entrepreneurs to conclude new contracts and strengthen international ties. ”
