Hi-Tech City renamed to Delta City
According to the resolution, the Hi-Tech City Innovation Center has been renamed into the Delta City International High-Tech Innovation Center.
It should be reminded that the construction of the innovation center is planned on the territory, bordering the streets of Iftikhor, Amir Temur, Small Ring Road and Sandikkurgon and also covers the land plots of the National Exhibition Complex Uzexpocenter, the International Business Center and the Interservis International Economic Association.
The resolution said that the directorate of the center and State Cadastre Committee conducted an inventory of demolished dwelling houses, uninhabited buildings and structures as of 1 April and determined the list of actually living families in the territory of the future center.
The khokimiyat of Tashkent was instructed to organize work on resettlement of families, enterprises, institutions and organizations, as well as the demolition of houses, non-residential buildings and structures on the project site, taking measures to compensate individuals and legal entities for losses at the expense of investors.
The expenses of the Directorate for the resettlement of families, the demolition of houses, non-residential buildings and structures, the clearance of territories, earthworks, the construction of intrasite networks of engineering and transport communications, the improvement of public areas, the holding of advertising campaigns and presentation activities are reimbursed at the expense of funds received from investors, in proportional shares, depending on the size of the land provided to them, as well as charitable donations, loans and other sources in, not prohibited by law.
Buildings and structures along with the adjacent territory located on the project territory and owned by state bodies, state enterprises and institutions, as well as other organizations with a state share in the statutory fund of 50 percent or more, are transferred to the Directorate at no cost to increase the share of the Directorate.
The President of Uzbekistan granted tax and customs privileges to investors and some project participants.
The cost of the project, implemented jointly with the South Korean POSCO Daewoo, is estimated at US$1.4 billion.
