“Hamroh” and IOM Sign Memorandum to Support Women from Migrant Families

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — “Hamroh,” a company supporting women’s entrepreneurship, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at supporting women from migrant families and strengthening their economic resilience.

The memorandum outlines several key areas of cooperation. Financial resources will be mobilized to support women entrepreneurs from migrant families through grant programs and training initiatives.

Targeted grant mechanisms will be developed to ensure stable incomes for women and reduce their economic vulnerability.

Additionally, mentorship programs will be introduced to facilitate experience sharing and strengthen engagement with business associations, alongside a system for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives.

Nozimakhon Davletova, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and Head of the Human Capital Development Project Office, emphasized: “By expanding opportunities for women, we not only support them but also create conditions for positive changes within families. This contributes to better household budgeting, effective use of remittances, and enhanced resilience of households to climate change.”
