Group C: France and Denmark progress to last 16

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- France and Denmark played a goalless draw in Group C of the FIFA World Cup in Russia to progress from first and second place respectively to last 16.

In the second match of the group, Peru defeated Australia with the score 2-0.

Andre Carrillo put Peru ahead with an 18th-minute volley before Paolo Guerrero doubled their lead five minutes into the second half with a hooked shot from close range.

France clinched top place with 7 points. Denmark is second with five points. Peru collected 3 points and Australia won 1 point.
