Govn’t approves programme on reconstruction of Shakhrisabz
The programme was adopted to implement general plan of Shakhrisabz city through careful preservation and rational organization of modern use of cultural heritage objects of historic part of the city, assist to develop its historic-architecture, social-cultural and tourism potentials, create favourable conditions for population.
The programme includes measures on construction and reconstruction of road-transport infrastructure, construction of new and capital repair of suburb bus station, purchase of new buses, development of engineering communication, improve architecture-planning view of the city, restoration of historic-cultural objects and construction of new hotels. The programme also includes measures on designing individual and multistory houses and allocation of lands for their construction.
According to the programme, Uzbekistan will direct 560.314 billion soums to construction and reconstruction of road-transport infrastructure of Shakhrisabz city in 2014-2018.
Another 10.5 billion soums will be directed on construction of new modern and repair of suburb bus stations and purchase of new buses. In 2014, local enterprises will buy 95 buses of Isuzu brand for 7.6 billion soums.
The Government of Uzbekistan is planning to allocate 117.042 billion soums to develop engineering communication of the city in 2014-2018.
In five years, about 97.478 billion soums will be spent to implement measures on improving architecture view of Shakhrisabz and 14.32 billion to restoration of historic-cultural heritage. In particular, it is planned to reconstruct such complexes as Aksaray (14th century), Dorus Soadat (15-19th centuries), Chubin madrasah (14th century), Chorsu monument (14th century) and others.
It is planned to construct two hotels – three and four-star – with 40 rooms each in 2014-2015. The volume of investments to construction of the hotel makes up 2.6 billion soums.
