Govn’t approves programme on improving activities of Namangan State University

The resolution said that the study of the activities of the Namangan State University revealed shortages in the work of the institution.

Rector of the university Yuldoshali Rakhimov was released from his duties for these shortages. Abdusalam Umarov has been appointed as the head of the Namangan State University.

Lack of attention by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and khokimyat of Namangan region was result of the shortages.

The resolution approved a programme of measures on improving the activities of Namangan State University, Norma.uz reported.

The programme envisages measures on attracting skilled teachers, improving curriculum and education quality, introducing modern teaching methods with use of multimedia technologies, etc.

The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education was entrusted to review and improve educational plans and programmes, as well as organize trainings for teachers.

The resolution said that projects on construction and reconstruction of Namangan State University with attraction of the funds from the State budget of Uzbekistan will be included to the investment programme for 2014 and following years.
