Governor of Ferghana Region Meets with Chinese Investors to Discuss Major Regional Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Governor of Ferghana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held a meeting with a group of Chinese investors and their local partners who are interested in implementing investment projects in the region.
During discussions with Yan Dewen, head of Jiangsu Lifan Machinery Co., Ltd, it was noted that strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has steadily developed in recent years, with regular high-level visits and negotiations strengthening ties at all levels and bringing bilateral relations to a new stage. Particular attention was given to major joint investment projects being implemented in Ferghana Region with the participation of Chinese partners.
The talks covered projects in solar panel production, “smart” meters, building materials, water treatment systems, and modernization of pumping equipment. The importance of promptly implementing these initiatives to produce modern, reliable, and standards-compliant products was emphasized.
During discussions with representatives of Xinjiang Xingchuan New Energy Co., Ltd, the construction of a wind power plant in the Besharyk District was addressed. Commercial proposals were prepared, and an agreement was reached to continue discussions on the next stages of the project.
The regional governor praised the investors’ proposals and initiatives, confirmed his readiness to support the projects, and agreed on measures to further develop bilateral cooperation.
