Government of Uzbekistan Approves Regulations on Technical Inspection of Lifting Equipment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution approving the Regulation “On the Procedure for Technical Inspection of Lifting Equipment.”

The document establishes the procedure for conducting technical inspections to ensure the safe operation of lifting mechanisms. The authorized state body in this area is the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the Regulation, all newly installed, modernized, reconstructed, or extensively repaired lifting devices must undergo a full technical inspection before being put into operation. For devices already in use, two types of inspections are established: a partial technical inspection at least once a year and a full technical inspection at least once every three years.

Technical inspections are carried out by specialized organizations based on a written or electronic request from the owner. Lifting equipment undergoes initial, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections, conducted according to the contract between the owner and the specialized organization.

The adoption of the Regulation is aimed at improving the safety of lifting equipment operation, reducing the risk of accidents, and ensuring control over the technical condition of equipment at enterprises across the country.
