Government Commission Reviews Implementation of Investment Projects in Buka and Pskent Districts
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A field visit by a working group of the Government Commission, led by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, took place in the Buka and Pskent districts of Tashkent Region.
The visit aimed to assess the progress of investment projects on the ground, provide practical support to enterprises, and identify existing challenges in order to develop proposals for their resolution.
As part of the trip, the commission reviewed in detail the DATANG BUKA NEW ENERGY DEVELOPMENT project for the construction of a 263 MW photovoltaic power plant.
The project, valued at US$150 million, is being implemented through foreign direct investment. It was launched in November last year and has already been connected to the power grid.
The project is led by Wang Junfeng of China. The power plant’s primary objective is to strengthen the regional energy balance and support the development of green energy infrastructure.
During discussions, the investor announced plans to allocate an additional 400 hectares of land for the launch of a new green energy project.
In response, the Government Commission emphasized the importance of synchronizing decisions related to land allocation, grid connections, and technical requirements.
Relevant government agencies were instructed to address these issues and prepare a coordinated roadmap to ensure the sustainable development of the projects and the effective utilization of the region’s investment potential.
