GM Uzbekistan produces 220,000th car

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 December 2018, the GM Uzbekistan plant in the city of Asaka produced a 220,000th vehicle, which became the Chevrolet Nexia. Thus, the goal set by the management to achieve the production volume of 220,000 units of domestic cars by the end of the year was achieved.

It should be noted that for the first time in the history of the company, the record for car production per month was broken. So, in December 2018, 34,117 cars were produced, which is over 1,000 vehicles a day. Moreover, the cost of each model was reduced by 10-16%, and the cost of imports fell by US$73 million.

In the new year, the Asaka Automobile Plant GM Uzbekistan will go on vacation for 15 days.
