Global Fund supports TB program in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria approved allocation of a grant to Uzbekistan for the Tuberculosis component for a total sum of US$50.6 million, UzA reported.
The grant, issued for five years (2010-2014), will help expand access to high-quality diagnostics, treatment and social support of the TB patients.
The sides signed a grant agreement for the first phase of the project, which will last until the end of 2011, worth US$12.098 million.
The second phase of the project will be implemented in 2012-2014.
