Georgiy Kocharian Appointed as New Ambassador of Armenia to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Georgiy Kocharian has been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, with residence in Yerevan.
The corresponding decree was signed by Armenian President Vaagn Khachatryan.
According to information published on the official website of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, prior to his appointment as ambassador, Georgiy Kocharian headed the Department for Eurasian Affairs within the ministry.
Previously, the position of Armenian ambassador to Uzbekistan was held by Aram Grigoryan, who led the diplomatic mission from June 2019.
