Gazprom to purchase 4 bn cubic meters of gas from Uzbekistan

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Gulomzhon Ibragimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, inked a contract for Uzbek gas to be purchased by Gazprom.

The document provides for 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year to be procured in the period of up to 5 years starting from 2018.

“Today, we have signed with our Uzbek partners a number of important documents, among which is the first medium-term contract for Uzbek gas to be purchased by Gazprom. Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the gas sector is thriving and expanding to new areas,” said Alexey Miller.
