Gazprom to buy 4 bcm of gas from Uzbekistan in 2016

Gazprom and Uzbekneftegaz signed a contract for the purchase of 4 billion cubic meters of Uzbek gas in 2016, a Memorandum Gazprom’s new Eurobond issue said.
The document said that Gazprom signed a contact with Uzbekneftegaz in December 2015. It added that the Russian company will by 4 billion cubic meters of gas from Uzbekistan.
In early January 2016, the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller stated that the company in 2016 plans to increase gas purchases from Uzbekistan.
Previous contract to buy gas from Uzbekistan and an agreement to transport gas through the territory of the country for the period 2013 to 2015 were signed by Gazprom in December 2012.
