Gas Production in Uzbekistan Falls by 4% in First Eight Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan produced 28.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January to August 2025, a decline of 4% compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
A decrease was also recorded in the oil sector, with production totaling 434,500 tons, down 10.43% from 2024 levels.
At the same time, the coal industry saw growth, with 4.7 million tons mined over eight months, representing a 6.8% increase compared to the previous year.
Production of motor gasoline fell by 14.25%, reaching 770,300 tons. In contrast, diesel fuel output increased by 10.47%, totaling 785,800 tons for the reporting period.
Gas condensate production also declined, dropping 8.3% to 760,500 tons during January–August 2025.
