Gas meters of consumers to be installed at the expense of Uztransgaz JSC

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uztransgaz (Uzbek Gas Transportation) supplied natural gas for 217,562 households in past autumn-winter period.

“At the same time, thanks to the efforts of the government, the gas supply situation has been improved,” the deputy chairman of the society, Muratulla Boshmanov, said. “In addition, in order to eliminate shortcomings in the gas distribution system, reduce the amount of technological losses in the supply of natural gas to consumers, and introduce modern energy-saving gas equipment at Uztransgaz, new standards are being introduced into the gas distribution system. Taking into account the experience of developed countries, practical work is being carried out to transfer the 3-stage gas distribution system (high, medium, low) to a 2-stage system (high, low).”

As it was noted at the event, in 2019 in the republic it is planned to supply 468,046 tonnes of liquefied gas to consumers. In January-June of this year, it was planned to supply 232,136 tonnes of liquefied gas. In practice, this figure was 227,185.2 tonnes (97.9%), or 4,950.8 tonnes less than the planned volume. In the third quarter of this year, 117,490 tonnes of supplies are planned, in the fourth quarter - 118,420 tonnes of liquefied gas.

According to the employees, the joint-stock company is negotiating with Artel to create a production of modern electronic gas meters, which are planned to provide the population in the future.

Gas meters will be installed by 3.4 million consumers at the expense of Uztransgaz’s own funds. Gas electronic meters will be installed in stages: at the first stage - in Tashkent and Tashkent region, and further in the republic.
