Gas Leak at Samarkand Filling Station Successfully Contained
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 April, a liquefied gas leak occurred at an automobile gas-filling station (AGZS) in the Pastdargom district of Samarkand region, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The incident took place around 13:45 in the “Ok oltin” mahalla while liquefied gas was being transferred from a MAN vehicle into storage tanks. Preliminary reports indicate the leak resulted from a violation of the technological process.
Rescue teams arrived on site at 14:02 and promptly began addressing the situation. By 15:03, the leak had been fully contained.
Thanks to the swift and professional actions of emergency personnel, potential fire and explosion hazards were avoided. No injuries were reported.
