Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rolandas Kriščiūnas in interview to Jahon news agency said that he met with Lithuanian businesses before his visit to Uzbekistan and discussed issues related to expanding relations with Uzbekistan.
He said that he brought with him an agreed draft agreement between Fund for support of export of small businesses and private entrepreneurship and Enterprise Lithuania, signing of which will become serious step in deepening of cooperation between two states.
Rolandas Kriščiūnas said that intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation plays important role to deepening bilateral relations. He said that the sides will determine dates of holding the session of the commission in Tashkent.
He said that Uzbekistan and Lithuania have good examples of economic partnership, including in transportation of cargoes. The countries will discuss developing cooperation in logistics.
He said that high level of political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Lithuania should be strengthened with mutual beneficial projects and initiatives in all spheres, and such meetings will allow discuss various issues, exchange opinion and expand ties.
