From 4 September, drivers to be able to apply for tinting in only seven departments of the Department of Road Safety

Tashkent city police department reminds, earlier for the convenience of drivers who want to apply for a tint, the Tashkent city police department together with the leadership of four banks arranged the opportunity to do this not only in the departments of the Department of Road Traffic Safety, but also in 39 district bank branches. This helped to avoid queues due to the hype caused by lower rates for obtaining permission to tint car windows.

The department informed that starting from 4 September, the opportunity to apply for permission to tint at banks will no longer be available, as there is no longer any need for additional points (the flow of people wishing has decreased). From 4 September, drivers will be able to apply for permission in only seven departments of the Department of Road Safety.

Another popular question today is: can I use a mirror tint film? It should be borne in mind that current legislation prohibits this. According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 191 dated 04/04/2012 "On approval of the general technical regulation on the safety of motor vehicle construction under operating conditions", namely paragraph 74: "It is not allowed to use glass with a mirror effect." Also in this paragraph it is said that “bulk-tinted and tinted windshields should not distort the correct perception of white, yellow, red, green and blue colors”.

For the traffic police officer, the presence of an emblem on the glass indicates that the driver has permission, which means that stopping the tinted car to check the corresponding document will be much less frequent. And in cases where they still stopped, the permission check will become a matter that does not take too much time, because the emblem is already in sight.

Therefore, Tashkent city police department appeals to drivers who have received permission with a reminder: do not forget to stick the emblem (hologram) the drivers received on the windshield. It was created for convenience of the drivers.
