From 1 October, a new procedure for paying a fee to the Republican Road Fund comes into force

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 1 October, a new procedure for paying a fee to the Republican Road Fund comes into force, according to which a fee is paid by vehicle manufacturers.

This decision was made in order to improve the conditions for the acquisition of domestic-made motor vehicles for consumers in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Additional Measures for Accelerated Development of the Automobile Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

According to the new order:

- under the purchase and sale (supply) contracts of new vehicles concluded by buyers before 1 October 2019 and purchased under these contracts for new vehicles, the procedure for paying the fee remains the same - the fee is paid to the traffic police.

- The fee to the Republican Road Fund for cars purchased under agreements from 1 October 2019 or later, will be included in the price of the car and paid directly by domestic manufacturers of vehicles.

The new payment procedure applies exclusively to new domestic vehicles (UzAuto Motors JSC, SamAvto LLC JV, JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan LLC JV, UzAuto Trailer LLC). The procedure for paying the registration fee for vehicles purchased in the secondary market and imported by import has not changed.
