From 1 November, Uzbekistan Raises Basic Gas Allowance to 500 Cubic Meters

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 November 2025, the basic monthly natural gas consumption allowance for citizens in Uzbekistan will increase from 100 to 500 cubic meters, according to Khududgazta’minot.

The increased allowance applies during the heating season, from November through February, while from March to October the previous limit of 100 cubic meters per month remains in effect.

For the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, the monthly allowance during the autumn-winter period is also set at 500 cubic meters due to higher gas consumption in these areas.

In addition, low-income families receive monthly compensation for electricity and gas used beyond the basic allowance. The compensation covers up to 150 kWh of electricity beyond 200 kWh and up to 250 cubic meters of gas during winter, and up to 150 cubic meters of gas over the limit in other months.

Previously, these payments were provided only in winter; now they are available year-round. In November 2025, each eligible family will also receive a one-time financial aid payment of 1 million soums.

The Ministry of Energy, together with the Cabinet of Ministers, reserves the right to adjust the validity period of basic allowances depending on air temperature. Citizens are advised to conserve gas by using energy-efficient equipment and insulating heating pipes.
