From 1 July railway tickets to be sold only for holders of biometric passports

Uzjeldorpass (Uzbekistan Passenger Railway) of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari said that from 1 July 2014 registration and realization of railway travel documents (tickets), as well as exist of the citizens of Uzbekistan to abroad by passenger train, will be conducted only with biometric passports.

The company said that it started to request biometric passports from 15 May 2014 to trains, departure of which will come after 45 days.
