From 1 December 2021, monitoring of atmospheric air pollution to be automated in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on improving the system of state environmental monitoring.

In accordance with the resolution, from 1 January 2021, automatic stations for the collection and analysis of samples at air pollution sources will be mandatory installed on the territory of newly commissioned economic entities with a high risk of environmental impact.

The resolution entrusted the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection with coordinating the activities of all ministries and organizations in the field of environmental monitoring.

Also, until 1 January 2021, accreditation of all departmental analytical laboratories of the republican and regional levels will be carried out.

According to the resolution, from 1 January 2021, a unified geoinformation database of the state environmental monitoring system will function.

Also, the Resolution approved the Regulation on state monitoring of the environment in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the regulation, monitoring work will be carried out in accordance with the State Environmental Monitoring Program, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and reviewed at least once every 5 years.
