Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Uzbekistan Today event was held in the Senate of France, dedicated to the modern development of our country, as well as bilateral relations with France.

The event, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Geographical Society of France, was attended by representatives of cultural and humanitarian, as well as socio-political circles.

During the meeting, participants raised a wide range of issues, ranging from fundamental changes in the socio-economic and socio-political life of Uzbekistan to the economic, investment and tourism potential of the country.

Attention is drawn to the active foreign policy of Uzbekistan, including in Central Asia, aimed at ensuring sustainable development and security in the region.

The participants of the event got acquainted with the results of the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and information on the preparations for the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan.

- Reforms in Uzbekistan are aimed at the dynamic development of the country. Next year, members of our society plan to visit Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the cultural and historical potential, as well as the modern development of the country.

In addition, we agreed to send textbooks and fiction books to Uzbekistan on a regular and free basis. We are always ready to support the Uzbek-French relations, which have intensified significantly in recent years.

- Uzbekistan is a country with a rich history. We well know what important role such cities as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva played in the development of world civilization. Today, the country is developing at a very fast pace.

Without any exaggeration, it can be said that thanks to the initiatives of the leadership of Uzbekistan in Central Asia, there has been an increase in trust between the countries, national and economic diplomacy has intensified, which ultimately serves the sustainable development of the region.

The initiative of the leadership of Uzbekistan to hold regular consultative meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia is an effective mechanism for strengthening regional cooperation and forming a unified position on issues of world and regional politics.
