French envoy holds talks with Uzbek Justice Minister

During the meeting, the sides affirmed multidimensional character of bilateral legal cooperation (regular bilateral visits of the specialists) and cooperation at the EU level (participation of French specialists in the EU project in judicial-legal reforms in Uzbekistan).

The special attention was paid to exchange of experience in human rights. Legal cooperation also included academic direction, the Embassy of France in Tashkent said.

It is planned to sign an agreement of cooperation between Tashkent State Law University and the French University.

The sides also discussed perspectives of legal cooperation, which will be boosted by the visit of the delegation led by chairperson of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan Buritash Mustafaev to France on 14-21 January 2014.
