French envoy holds meeting at Senate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Jacques-Henry Heuls held a meeting with the chairperson of the Committee of the Senate of Oliy Majls of Uzbekistan on foreign political issues, Senator Sadik Safaev on 31 October 2013.
The meeting was held to discuss issues of the French-Uzbek cooperation in all spheres, including inter-parliamentary relation.
Sadik Safaev underlined important role of parliaments in developing relations both in political and cultural aspects, the Embassy of France in Tashkent said.
He said that active relations between parliaments of two nations and recalled recent visit of the chairperson of France-Central Asia Friendship Group of Senate of France and Senator André Dulait to Uzbekistan.
French envoy said that France is ready to provide support to Uzbekistan in its plant to implement political reforms, including in context of upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled to the end of 2014.
