Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 June 2025, Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Ferghana Region, held a meeting with Xavier Gallot-Lavallée, President of the French company Montagne et Neige Développement (MND), and Orkhan Shirin, Regional Sales Director for the CIS, Balkans, Türkiye, and Pakistan.

The discussions focused on promising tourism projects proposed for the villages of Shakhimardan and Yordon in the Ferghana district. MND, a global leader in mountain and ropeway infrastructure development with projects in 49 countries including Uzbekistan, presented proposals for constructing cable cars, suspension bridges, viewing platforms, pedestrian areas, and tourist attractions.

As part of a pilot project, the creation of around 100 new jobs is envisaged, which would significantly contribute to the region's socio-economic development. Both sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of the project, recognizing its importance for unlocking the tourism potential of the Ferghana Valley and strengthening international partnerships.

Later the same day, the governor met with over ten entrepreneurs who plan to implement 54 investment projects totaling 4.3 trillion soums as part of the 2025–2028 development plan for the “Ferghana” tourism zone.

It is expected that these initiatives will result in the creation of approximately 2,400 new jobs. During the meeting, the economic viability, social significance, and implementation mechanisms of each proposal were reviewed in detail.

Business representatives highlighted current challenges and made suggestions to improve investment conditions.

As a result of the discussions, concrete steps were outlined to promptly address the issues raised. Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized the importance of coordinated and high-quality execution of all initiatives, aimed at significantly enhancing the tourism appeal of the Ferghana region.
