Free breast cancer diagnosis campaign takes place in Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions

According to the organizers, some 1,513 women underwent medical examination in three regions. Overall, 5,631 consultations were carried out wince the start of the campaign.

The campaign was held in Andijan region on 1-2 November. The medical specialists provided consultations for 526 women in the region.

Oncomammology specialists examined 226 women, cancer gynecologists – 148 women and ultrasound specialist – 152 women. Overall, 203 various cancer cases were revealed.

The campaign took place in Ferghana region on 6-7 November and attracted 422 women. About 244 cases of cancer were revealed in the result.

On 8-9 November 2013, the campaign was held in Namangan region. The specialists provided consultations to 565 women and recorded 264 cases of cancer.

In the result of the medical examination of 1,513 women in three regions, the doctors revealed 17 suspected cases of breast cancer, six cases of suspected ovarian cancer and cervical cancer and 686 cases of benign tumors.

Within the campaign, the doctors also conducted awareness campaign on breast cancer and participants received information on the diseases.
