Four professional colleges transferred to the Ministry of Energy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Personnel training for the energy sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the present level will now be carried out in four professional colleges, which are transferred to the Ministry of Energy.

As you know, large-scale reforms are being implemented in our country aimed at implementing the tasks identified in the Action Strategy for the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

In accordance with this strategy, consistent measures are being taken to train professional personnel who meet the requirements of the labor market, introduce international standards for assessing the quality of education, and reform the education system through the creation of effective mechanisms for introducing innovative scientific achievements into practice.

By the Decree of the President “On Additional Measures for Further Improving the Vocational Education System” (No. UP-5812 of September 6, 2019), a joint resolution was adopted in February 2020 by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the Ministry of Energy.

Under this decision, four professional colleges located in the regions of the republic, in particular, the Takhiatash Professional College of Energy, the Industrial and Energy College of Nishan District, the Shirin Professional College of Energy and Household Services, and the Kibray Energy Professional College were transferred to the Thermal Power Plants JSC .

Based on the requirements of the Decree, these colleges were renamed as “Takhiatash College of Energy”, “Nishan College of Energy”, “Shirinsky College of Energy” and “Kibray College of Energy”.

According to UP-5812, the educational and methodical guidance of professional educational institutions based on the basis of former colleges, regardless of their departmental affiliation, as well as the implementation of state policy in this area are carried out by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
