Four Metro Vestibules in Tashkent Reopen for Passengers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 11 December, four secondary vestibules of Tashkent Metro stations — Uzbekistan, Mashinasozlar, Gafur Gulyam, and Milliy Bog — are reopening for passengers, the press service of Tashkent Metro reported.

These entrances had been closed for many years due to low passenger traffic. Ahead of the reopening, technical upgrades were carried out and the stations have been equipped with modern systems. The vestibule reopening projects were developed by the Tashmetotrans Institute, and the government of Uzbekistan authorized the reconstruction works.

Earlier, in August 2024, photos of the restoration work at the second vestibule of the Milliy Bog station appeared on social media.

The remaining closed secondary entrances are expected to be put into operation in the coming years, helping accommodate growing passenger flows and improve comfort for metro users.
