Four children in Tashkent die in result of carbon monoxide poisoning
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The cause of the death of four children of one family in Chilanzar district of Tashkent was carbon monoxide poisoning, the press service of the Ministry of Health said.
Early in the morning of 31 October, Akbarova Aziza (1996), Ezoza (2001), Iroda (2003) and Farrukh (2012), who lived in a private house were found unconscious in one room. The doctors of the ambulance, who arrived at the hospital, stated their death. Their mother, Umida Khayitova (1976), was hospitalized and received medical care.
Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Uzbekistan Saidmurod Saidaliyev noted that the cause of the death of children was acute carbon monoxide poisoning, and not food poisoning.
Earlier it was reported that children could die as a result of food poisoning. On 30 October, at 20:00, the hostess of the house purchased a kebab in a cafe of national cuisine opposite the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid. At about 20:30, she and her children had dinner at home.
The family moved to a three-story house, which is heated by a gas boiler installed in the basement.
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov created a government commission to investigate the death of four children of one family.
