Four children die in Tashkent as a result of poisoning

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Four residents of Chilanzar district of Tashkent city were killed as a result of poisoning.

According to the press service of the Tashkent khokimiyat, at the moment examination and investigative actions are being carried out.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov created a government commission to investigate the death of four children of one family.

The commission included specialists from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Emergencies Ministry and the sanitary-epidemiological service.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, Akbarov Aziz (b. 1996), Ezoza (2001), Iroda (2003) and Farrukh (2012) died, presumably as a result of food or carbon monoxide poisoning. Their mother Umida Khayitova (1976) was hospitalized.

According to the investigation, on 30 October at 20:00 the hostess of the house purchased shish kebab in a cafe of national cuisine opposite the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid. At about 20:30, she and her children had dinner at home.

At 4:00 am, Khayitova entered the room where the children were sleeping and found them unconscious, with traces of vomiting. She called an ambulance. At 4:30, the doctors stated the biological death of the children. Khayitovoy is currently receiving medical care.

The family moved to a three-story house recently, which is heated by a gas boiler installed in the basement.

The government commission must establish the cause of death of children.
