Founders of Libermans Co Visit Uzbekistan to Develop AI and Data Centers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On  6 December, David and Daniil Liberman, founders of the Libermans Co holding, arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit. They are internationally recognized in the technology sector for their developments in artificial intelligence, optimization of digital systems, and creation of products for global markets.

In Tashkent, the entrepreneurs met with Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies; Farhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan; CEO of IT Park Abdulahad Kuchkarov; and heads of key divisions of the country’s digital ecosystem.

The guests toured the IT Park complex, familiarizing themselves with the data center infrastructure and solutions of the state IT integrator in the UzInfocom showroom. Founded in 2021, Libermans Co positions itself as a new-type company where economic value — revenues, intellectual property, and projects — belongs to the organization rather than individual founders. This approach allows investors to support the entrepreneurial platform as a whole rather than individual products.

Today, the company is valued at $400 million, reflecting global venture market confidence and the potential of its current initiatives.

The Liberman brothers have extensive experience in the global technology industry. They created the Product Science platform to optimize mobile applications and enhance digital infrastructure resilience, as well as the Humanism tool for investing in human competencies as a strategic resource for the economy of the future.

Some of their previous projects were integrated into major companies, including the acquisition of the Kernel AR product by Snapchat, where the Libermans held leadership positions and contributed to the development of advanced augmented reality initiatives.

Currently, the flagship project of Libermans Co is Gonka, a decentralized high-performance computing network for artificial intelligence, designed to minimize resource loss and improve the efficiency of AI model training and deployment. Against the backdrop of global competition for computing power, the project has the potential to become a significant next-generation solution.

During the visit, the guests were briefed on Uzbekistan’s strategic directions for digital transformation, including plans to develop national computing capacities, expand the IT ecosystem, and create a favorable regulatory environment for international companies.

Special attention was given to the IT sector’s growth: forecasts indicate that Uzbekistan’s IT services exports will exceed $1 billion in 2025, with projections reaching $5 billion by 2030, supported by a pool of 300,000 IT specialists.

The Libermans highlighted the systematic nature of Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop the IT sector, including reforms in digital legislation and the Enterprise Uzbekistan initiative, which ensures transparency and strategic integration of the country into the global digital economy.

The guests also emphasized Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages, including tax benefits for IT Park residents, free currency operations, and simplified conditions for attracting foreign specialists, making the country attractive for AI and cloud infrastructure projects.

The development of data centers in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the potential integration of national capacities into the Gonka network was also discussed, which could position Uzbekistan as a key hub in a decentralized AI infrastructure.

Emphasis was also placed on IT talent development, engaging local developers in global open-source projects, building a professional community, and advancing scientific research in artificial intelligence.

Regional cooperation was addressed, highlighting Uzbekistan’s role as a coordinator of Central Asian initiatives and a platform for international projects and research centers.

Plans were considered to host the international Decentralized AI event in Tashkent in 2026, which could attract leading experts and investors.

The visit by David and Daniil Libermans marked an important stage in international technological cooperation. Discussions focused on integrating Uzbekistan into decentralized computing networks, training AI personnel, and building next-generation infrastructure, laying the foundation for long-term projects.

Uzbekistan’s potential, flexible regulations, dynamic IT infrastructure, and political will create conditions for the country to become a key hub for AI technology development in the region. The interest from Libermans Co confirms a high assessment of the country’s opportunities and opens new prospects for its integration into the global digital economy.
