According to the State Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s exports made up US$10.36 billion (+25.6%) and imports – US$9.59 billion (+8.4%).
The positive balance of foreign trade was US$767.7 million: with CIS countries – US$715.8 million, with non-CIS countries – US$51.9 million.
Foreign trade operations of the residents of Uzbekistan are mainly carried out with the countries of Asia (45.7% of the total volume of trade turnover), Europe (44.2%) and America (2.6%), which make up 92.5% of total turnover.
Among the CIS countries the main foreign trade partners are Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, which share was 28.6% of foreign trade turnover, among the non-CIS countries – China, Turkey, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Afghanistan, Brazil, India, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, France, the United States, share of which made up 40.4% of total foreign trade turnover.
