Foreign Ministry recommends citizens of Uzbekistan temporarily refrain from traveling to Thailand without extreme need

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 March 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand officially informed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok about the Government’s decision to abolish the entry visa regime upon arrival in the country (Visa on Arrival) to citizens of Uzbekistan. The decision enters into force on March 13 and will be in effect on September 30, 2020.

During this period, citizens of Uzbekistan are recommended to apply for entry visas to Thailand at the Honorary Consulate of the indicated state in Tashkent or at the consular department of one of the diplomatic missions of the kingdom abroad.

In connection with the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Thailand and neighboring countries and in order to prevent its entry into our country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Uzbekistan temporarily refrain from traveling to the Kingdom of Thailand without any urgent need.
