The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries discussed the state and prospects for development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
It was noted that the important international initiatives, put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, open new opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE and consolidation of the Muslim ummah in general.
The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed participation of the UAE in establishment of the International Research Center of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand.
Abdulaziz Kamilov and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed schedule of the first political consultations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the UAE and the second meeting of the Uzbek-Emirates Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation.
