Foreign investors familiarized themselves with the conditions created in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of investment companies and international financial institutions visited the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.

The delegation included leaders and representatives of such organizations as: Islamic Development Bank, Sturgeon Capital, Khodro45, City of London Investment Management Company, Powerhut, Dentos Law Group, AKB Invest, Credit Suisse, LCP Livingstone Capital Partners, Orient Capital Management, etc.

Welcoming the guests, the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov spoke about the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was noted that the 2019 in Uzbekistan was names as the “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”. It was emphasized that all state bodies of the country are taking measures to actively attract investments and create favorable conditions for investors. Government agencies are ready to assist investors in solving existing problems.

The guests, in particular, received information about the development of education in Uzbekistan. Sherzod Shermatov noted that Uzbekistan is interested in attracting investment in the development of education, including school education.

It was emphasized that the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan can offer several options for cooperation in the framework of public-private partnership (PPP). It was underlined that the Uzbek side is interested in improving the teaching of foreign languages and information technology.

During the meeting, representatives of foreign companies and financial institutions received answers to their questions.
