Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 November, the 5th Interim Session of the Foreign Investors Council was held in Tashkent, chaired by Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov and moderated by the EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia, Andy Aranitasi.

The event was attended by leaders of international companies, financial institutions, and representatives of government bodies.

During the session, measures to eliminate existing barriers, enhance interagency coordination, and set priorities for 2026 were discussed.

The achievements of the Council’s eight Working Groups were noted, which prepared more than 40 initiatives, including updates to corporate legislation, implementation of responsible business standards, and development of mechanisms for attracting capital.

Investors presented proposals on tax administration, land allocation, and planning in the energy sector.

As a result of the discussions, further steps were agreed upon to accelerate the implementation of the decisions reached.

Additionally, a package of strategic priorities for 2026 was approved, covering the development of artificial intelligence, ESG approaches, human capital, the creative economy, and regional cooperation.

The agreements reached will be formalized in a protocol and will form the basis of the Action Plan until the next plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council.
