For the first time in Uzbekistan, gas was obtained in pre-Jurassic deposits

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 27 September 2019, at the Northern Mubarek gas condensate field located in Kashkadarya region, for the first time in Uzbekistan, the ERIELL Group company received a gas inflow with a flow rate of 400 thousand m3 / day in pre-Jurassic deposits.

The gas-bearing object was discovered as a result of drilling and development of well No. 53 of the North Mubarek deposit. Thus, a productive horizon was established in the pre-Jurassic sediments (weathering crust), which lie on the Paleozoic basement, and industrial gas inflow was obtained for the first time from these deposits in Uzbekistan.

Currently, researchers have begun work to study the field characteristics of gas and condensate and its commercial properties.

In the future, these deposits can also be detected at the South Mubarek, Shumak and Shurtepa deposits. This gas-bearing facility is a pre-exploration site, as a result of which prospecting and evaluation work continues.
