Football: Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to Hold Friendly Matches Among Youth and Junior Teams

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to hold a series of friendly matches between youth and junior national teams.

Cooperation between the Uzbekistan Football Association and the Kazakhstan Football Federation has been built for many years on the principles of partnership and mutual respect.

The regular organization of matches at various levels — from national squads to junior and women’s teams — demonstrates the strong sporting ties between the two countries.

In October this year, youth and junior friendlies are scheduled. On 12 and 14 October, two matches between the U21 teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will take place in Tashkent.

From 3 to 14 October, the U15 national teams will meet twice in Almaty.

In addition, youth and women’s team encounters are organized on a regular basis, contributing to closer interaction and exchange of experience.

Negotiations are also underway on holding a friendly match between the senior national teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. However, due to overlaps with the FIFA calendar, the fixture is being considered for 2026.
