Food Production in Uzbekistan Grows 14.6% Over Eight Months to 86.5 Trillion Soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s food production reached 86.5 trillion soums in January–August 2025, marking a 14.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The leaders in production volume remain the city of Tashkent with 15.3 trillion soums, followed by Samarkand and Tashkent regions, each producing 11.7 trillion soums.
In Bukhara region, production amounted to 6.6 trillion soums, while Kashkadarya and Fergana regions each produced 6.2 trillion soums. Andijan region reported 5 trillion soums, Namangan 4.7 trillion soums, Navoi 4.3 trillion soums, and Karakalpakstan 3.9 trillion soums.
Khorezm region produced 3.5 trillion soums, Syrdarya 3.2 trillion soums, and Jizzakh 2 trillion soums. The lowest production level was recorded in Surkhandarya region, at 1.9 trillion soums.
