FMs of Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan” to gather in Bishkek today

The Dialogue offers important area for cooperation of Central Asia states with Japan in solving issues of sustainable development, expansion of economic and commercial connections, and also discussion of the ways of counteraction to the modern challenges and threats.

In the framework of the Dialogue 5 main directions of cooperation between Central Asia countries and Japan have been determined: Political dialogue, Cooperation inside the region, Business encouragement, Intellectual dialogue, Cultural and Humanitarian dialogue.

It is the 10th Anniversary from the moment of creation of regional platform of cooperation between Central Asia countries and Japan. Previous meetings of the Dialogue on the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Member states were conducted in Tokyo, Astana and Tashkent.

In the period of chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Dialogue "Central Asia+Japan" in 2013-2014 there were conducted two Conferences of Senior Officers of the Dialogue in Bishkek and Tokyo, two Tokyo intellectual Dialogues, and also two meetings of experts in the field of agriculture which demonstrated the availability of significant potential in consolidation of mutually beneficial cooperation.
