Five Uzbek Children Without Parental Care Returned from Russia to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 October 2025, a group of five underage citizens of Uzbekistan who had been left without parental care arrived in Tashkent from the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation.
The children were transported from Yekaterinburg under the escort of representatives from the National Agency for Social Protection, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Four of the minors have been temporarily placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs. They will later be transferred to family-type children’s homes.
Another child will first be placed in an orphanage and subsequently moved to a family-type children’s home.
Their social support and supervision will be ensured at their future place of residence.
