First Social Innovation Lab ‘Nature and Society’ takes place in Uzbekistan
For a while already UNDP/UNV Project ‘Social Innovation and Volunteerism in Uzbekistan’ is promoting social innovation and volunteerism in the country offering innovative solutions to social problems, generating interaction between different people and various organizations.
This time the UNDP/UNV Project ‘Social Innovation and Volunteerism in Uzbekistan’, in partnership with the GEF Small Grants Programme in Uzbekistan and Youth Movement ‘Kamolot’ launched a new initiative called Social Innovation Lab ‘Nature and Society’. This initiative aims to promote the ideas of volunteerism, social innovation and environmental protection among young people.
Volunteering is about giving back to the community for the benefit of the whole society as well as an opportunity to acquire and share experience, knowledge and skills.
Volunteers’ activities are often associated with creative thinking, new opportunities and perspectives, allowing them to obtain new skills and open up more possibilities! It is believed that this knowledge can be very useful in solving environmental problems.
Within the framework of Social Innovation Lab ‘Nature and Society’ leading specialists of Uzbekistan discussed with participants of the Lab about possible solutions and reflect on some of the exciting environmental problems. The best ideas can be funded by the organizers.
