First ranking of Uzbek universities published
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first ranking of higher educational institutions was published in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan said.
The ranking was compiled by the State Inspectorate for Quality Supervision of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
The ranking was prepared based on 23 indicators such as level of knowledge of students and graduates, the quality of teaching and methodological work and education, the teaching staff and research activities, as well as the material and technical provision and the level of ICT introduction.
The ranking includes 57 universities, excluding branches of foreign universities in Uzbekistan.
Top ten universities
- National University of Uzbekistan;
- Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies;
- Tashkent Institute of Agricultural Irrigation and Mechanization;
- Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry;
- Samarkand State University;
- Tashkent Medical Academy;
- Tashkent State Dental Institute;
- Uzbek State University of World Languages;
- Tashkent Institute of Railway Transport Engineers;
- Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
Ten universities, which took the lowest places in the ranking
- Namangan Engineering and Technology Institute;
- Navoi State Pedagogical Institute;
- Karshi Engineering and Economic Institute;
- Karshi State University;
- Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute;
- Samarkand State Architectural and Construction Institute;
- State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan;
- National Institute of Arts and Design;
- Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute;
- Kokand State Pedagogical Institute.
