First meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first meeting of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan chaired by the First Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs of the two countries, Major-General Davron Nazarmuhamedov and Lieutenant-General of Police Vilayet Eyvazov, was held.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current state and future prospects of developing of cooperation between two bodies, exchange information in the field of combating terrorism, extremism and illegal migration, cooperation in the fight against common crime and investigative activities, etc.

Following the discussion, the parties exchanged views, accumulated experience in the fight against crime and ensuring law and order.

In conclusion, the parties signed a protocol on cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2020.
