First Lady of Uzbekistan Participates in Cultural Events in New York
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During her visit to New York at the invitation of the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan, Uzbekistan’s First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva attended an exhibition dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Republic of Türkiye, Dunyo news agency reported.
The exhibition showcased the centuries-old traditions and crafts of Anatolia, harmoniously combined with contemporary design.
Visitors were presented with national textiles, handmade carpets, jewelry using “telkari” and “kazaziye” techniques, ceramic pieces, intricately carved walnut chests, and handcrafted copperware.
During the visit, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Emine Erdoğan discussed ways to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
The event also brought together spouses of heads of state and government, as well as high-ranking members of international delegations visiting New York for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
