Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan comments on the video posted today on social networks and the message to it, which said - quote: "A large gas pipeline has been blown up in Narpai district of Samarkand region."

The Ministry of Energy in this regard officially announces the following:

In fact, today, on 2 February, at 14:45, there was a fire on Zirabulak gas pipeline in the area of the city of Mirbozor in Narpai district of Samarkand region. The reason was the breakdown of the main gas pipeline 1–4.

The Uztransgaz special working group eliminated the fire at 17:15. Currently, special repair teams of the main pipelines Zirabulak, Gallaorol, Mubarek and Gazli are working at the scene of the incident, with the aim of a complete solution to the issue.

The reason behind the fire is being investigated.
